WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A TYPICAL WORKOUT?
A typical metabolic workout at our gym is designed to engage every muscle in your body, with a particular focus on larger muscle groups that burn the most calories. These workouts may include a variety of exercises, such as bodyweight movements, squats, jump rope, stepping, and dumbbell and kettlebell training. In addition, you’ll experience resistance band work, core isolation exercises, TRX suspension training, running, yoga, and stretching. Ultimately, each workout is crafted to challenge your body in new ways while providing a complete, full-body workout that keeps you motivated and moving toward your fitness goals.
ARE YOUR CLASSES SUITABLE FOR ALL FITNESS LEVELS?
Our Metabolic Workout classes are designed for all fitness levels, from beginners to experienced individuals. Each workout adapts to challenge those with more experience while remaining accessible for newcomers. You’ll be encouraged to push yourself at your own pace in a supportive and motivating environment.
CLASSES OR PRIVATE TRAINING? WHICH IS RIGHT FOR ME?
In your initial consultation, we’ll discuss your goals, personality, and schedule to help determine which option – classes or private training – is the best fit for you.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING AND WEAR?
The only thing you’ll need to bring is water to stay hydrated. For your workout, wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and a good pair of supportive sneakers. This will ensure you’re ready to make the most of your session!
WILL I EXPERIENCE SORENESS?
The Metabolic Workout is designed to challenge your muscles, which may lead to some soreness during your first couple of weeks. After that, you may experience occasional mild soreness as we continually challenge your muscles in new ways. This is a sign that you’re pushing your body and making progress!
HOW MANY DAYS A WEEK SHOULD I TRAIN?
We recommend 2–4 classes per week. Be sure you are fueling your body properly and drinking enough water. Our classes are intense, and recovery is essential for your overall health. We do not recommend doing our class every day.
WILL I BE ASKED TO DO SOMETHING UNCOMFORTABLE?
At Workout1, we are proud to accommodate people of all ages, shapes, sizes, fitness levels and injury backgrounds. We strive to make people feel as comfortable as possible, while getting in the best shape of their life. If a particular exercise makes you feel uncomfortable, or goes beyond your current physical capabilities, we will be happy to give you an alternate exercise that will progress you in the safest way possible.
WHERE IS THE STUDIO?
Workout1 is on the southeast corner of the intersection of Michigan Ave. and Industrial. The entrance is off of Industrial. Our suite is located at the northeast corner of the building.
