About Danielle.I grew up in a small town, playing multiple sports, and eventually settled into swimming, which paid for school and home. I coached collegiately for over a decade at various schools, like up the road at U of M from 2012–2016. (My husband is there now - Go Blue!) Those interactions from years of coaching and my own passion for fitness made me pursue my NASM certification shortly after my son was born, in 2019. Being in a gym has felt like home since I was a child, as I spent a lot of time at my dad and uncle’s gym, and officially learned to love lifting weights in middle school. In addition to coaching at Workout1, I also coach swimming via the Techniq Group here in Saline, as well as co-direct the University of Michigan Swim Camps. I am currently working on bringing a long-time passion project alive and into a wellness business and am always happy to geek out and chat about fitness/wellness trends and natural products and lifestyle! I am always excited and intrigued by great workouts and use gym time for my own for sanity and therapy! My favorite way to sweat always involves weights, loud music and leaving with callouses. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all more... |
